This research is a good reminder of why a vulnerability assessment needs to be a recurring habit, not a one-time checkbox: most successful attacks don't exploit brand-new zero-days, they exploit known vulnerabilities that were never patched. A regular assessment cadence is what catches that gap before an attacker does.
